Open Day – Through the Keyhole of Islam As part of Birmingham Heritage Week 2026, Birmingham Central Mosque warmly invites you to our special Open Day – Through the Keyhole of Islam on Thursday 17 September 2026. This free and welcoming event offers visitors of all ages an opportunity to step inside Birmingham Central Mosque and discover more about Islamic beliefs, values, culture and everyday life in an open and respectful environment. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour of the mosque, a multimedia introduction to the Islamic faith, an open Q&A and discussion, the opportunity to observe one of the daily prayer services, interactive activities for school children, free literature and light refreshments. There are two sessions available: 12:00pm–2:00pm and 2:30pm–4:30pm. We kindly ask all visitors to respect the mosque and its worshippers, including removing shoes in designated areas and following the visitor guidance provided during your visit.
