Event Overview

Step inside the UK’s second purpose-built mosque, founded in 1969, and discover Birmingham Central Mosque during our annual Open Day.

Whether you are curious about Islam, interested in local history, or simply want to explore one of Birmingham’s most iconic landmarks, everyone is warmly invited to attend.

This event is open to all, regardless of faith or background, and there is no booking required.

Special Exhibition – The Kiswah Collection

The Open Day will feature a special exhibition from The Kiswah Collection.

The Kiswah is the cloth that covers the Sacred Kaaba in Makkah.

The exhibition showcases rare artefacts connected to the sacred heritage of Makkah and Madinah, including pieces dating back to the Ottoman era. This is a unique opportunity to view items that are rarely displayed to the public.
